Salary: £23,884 - £25,170 (depending on experience)

The Role
We are recruiting for a Maintenance Administrator to support our busy Maintenance Team at our Head Office in Preston. This is a key role providing administrative support for a department that oversees repairs, statutory compliance, and facilities operations across our homes and schools.
We are looking for someone with strong organisational skills, experience in a varied administrative role, and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively. A background or understanding of property maintenance is advantageous but not essential.
This is a full-time, office-based role with flexible start times between 8:00 am and 9:30 am and finish times between 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm, supporting a healthy work-life balance.
Our Head Office
Our Head Office is based on the docks in Preston and is home to around 20–30 staff members who support our children’s homes and schools across the country. Departments include HR (Recruitment, IT, Communication & Engagement, Health & Safety), Finance, Maintenance, and Referrals. The office is modern and spacious with free on-site parking and a 24/7 gym located directly across the road.
Key Responsibilities
1. Provide administrative support to the Maintenance Team
2. Track and record statutory inspections and testing
3. Liaise with external contractors to arrange inspections and certification
4. Maintain training schedules, timesheets and expense claims
5. Support the management of departmental leave, sickness and onboarding
6. Prioritise workload and communicate effectively with colleagues and contractors
