What does the job involve?
Manages and enforces an effective compliance program aligned with internal accreditation standards.
Hours of work: 39 hours per week.
Dayshift: Monday to Thursday 7:30 am to 4:30 pm and Friday 8:00 am to 1:00 pm, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break.
Compliance Engineer - Responsibilities include:
* Developing the annual audit plan using risk-based methodologies.
* Leading the internal audit function and developing compliance and risk management procedures.
* Managing and executing audit and compliance plans from start to finish.
* Performing audits and investigations, particularly in QMS ISO, GS, AS ISO standards.
* Ensuring timely achievement of results while keeping stakeholders updated.
* Presenting findings and recommendations to senior management.
* Drafting and updating policies, procedures, and operating instructions.
* Assisting with internal issues within the Quality Department.
* Coaching and mentoring team members.
* Populating supplier assessment and visit reports as required.
Key skills and experience required:
* Right to live and work in the UK (Essential).
* Experience in a quality or engineering environment.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* High standards of accuracy and attention to detail.
* Knowledge of MRP or ERP systems (IFS preferred, desirable).
Qualifications needed:
* Basic O’ Level / GCSE qualifications, with technical qualifications such as City & Guilds or NVQ.
* Full UK driving license.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
* ISO Lead Auditor qualification (desirable).
* AS Lead Auditor qualification (desirable).
* Security clearance (desirable).
* Full apprenticeship or relevant skills in machining or applicable areas (desirable).
