About the Role:
* Teach Art at A Level, inspiring and challenging students to deepen their understanding of artistic concepts, techniques, and art history.
* Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons that cater to a variety of learning styles and abilities.
* Guide and support students in developing their artistic skills and portfolios, preparing them for further study and careers in the creative industries.
* Use a range of teaching methods and resources, including workshops, gallery visits, and critiques, to foster students' creativity and critical thinking skills.
* Assess student progress, set targets, and provide constructive feedback to support individual learning journeys.
* Contribute to the department's curriculum development and resource creation, ensuring that our Art curriculum remains relevant and challenging.
* Work collaboratively with colleagues in the department and across the college to create a cohesive and supportive learning environment.
* Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance your teaching practice and keep abreast of the latest developments in Art education.
Ideal Candidate:
* Holds QTS or equivalent.
* Possesses excellent subject knowledge in Art and a passion for the visual arts.
* Demonstrates a passion for teaching Art and a commitment to student success.
* Has strong communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills.
* Is confident in building rapport with students and fostering a positive and stimulating learning environment.
* Has a good understanding of the A Level Art specifications and assessment requirements.
* Is committed to ongoing professional development and reflective practice.
