Role & Responsibilities
As a Machine Tool Fitter, you will be responsible for the build and assembly of high-value special purpose machinery. The role involves assembling complete machine systems from start to finish while working to extremely high standards of precision and quality.
Key responsibilities include:
Building and assembling special purpose machinery
Precision fitting to very tight tolerances
Full machine build from initial assembly through to completion
Bending stainless steel pipework using hand tools
Installing and working with pneumatic systems
Using compression fittings and swaging techniques
Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and schematics
Maintaining high standards of workmanship and attention to detailEssential Requirements
Proven experience in special purpose machine build
Previous experience assembling high-value machine systems
Strong precision fitting skills
Ability to work to extremely tight tolerances
Experience bending stainless steel pipework by hand
Knowledge of compression fittings and/or swaging (essential)
Previous experience working with pneumatics
Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and schematicsQualifications

This role operates on a rotating shift pattern:
Day Shift
Monday to Thursday: 8:00am - 4:30pm
Friday: 8:00am - 1:00pm
Early Shift
Monday to Thursday: 6:00am - 2:00pm
Friday: 6:00am - 11:00am
Late Shift
Monday to Thursday: 2:00pm - 10:00pm
Friday: 11:00am - 4:00pm
