We are seeking a DGM for Medicine to join our leadership team at Wrexham Maelor Hospital. This pivotal role will provide strategic, operational, and performance management across a broad range of clinical and managerial services, with a particular emphasis on delivering waiting time targets and continuous improvements in patient care and experience. As the DGM, you will be responsible for strategic, operational, and performance management, including service quality, planning, resource utilisation, and modernisation. Working to ensure the achievement of waiting time targets and other key performance measures whilst driving continuous improvements in patient access and care. In this role, you will also hold responsibility for speciality workforce, finance and performance delivery in partnership with clinical and multidisciplinary leads. Main duties of the job You will be a key member of the Hospital Management Team, contributing to corporate planning and performance management arrangements. A collaborative mindset will be essential, as you will work closely with primary, community, and secondary care services to ensure seamless patient pathways and efficient service delivery. Operating with a high degree of responsibility, you will identify and translate health service policy and strategy into actionable plans within the performance management framework.
