Wood is recruiting for a Design Coordinator to support across various high-profile projects in the UK. The Design Coordinator will join our Systems Integration team within our Digital Consulting business.
There is a requirement for hybrid working with 3 days per week being based out of either Aberdeen, Glasgow, Stockton or Staines. There will also be a requirement to visit UK based client sites as and when required.
This position will be for a minimum 6 month duration.
Please note applicants must be able to pass HMG Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) check.

The Role
The Design Coordinator will play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between clients, engineering teams and other project functions. Acting as a single point of contact with the client, the Design Coordinator ensures that all design related discussions, technical concerns and progress updates are managed efficiently and communicated clearly.
This is a great opportunity for a Principal / Lead level Design Engineer who is experienced in managing the design coordination between UK projects across multi engineering disciplines and is able to collaborate and influence based on clear understanding of engineering deliverables working with stakeholders at all levels of the project organisation.

Expected:
9. Degree in relevant engineering discipline alternatively, tertiary level education combined with suitable industry experience can be used to demonstrate equivalence
10. Balance of technical and leadership experience at Principal / Lead level
11. Proven experience of supervisory experience with an understanding of human relations, training, performance evaluation, and health and safety
12. Broad knowledge of engineering theories and techniques and a high level of skill in the application of this knowledge in the management of the engineering function
13. Capable of representing the business and client-to-business associates in a professional manner
14. Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills, capable of influencing people at all levels of the organisation
15. Skilled in forecast planning for people resources
16. Able to implement and embed standards and processes to effect delivery of engineering excellence
17. Good knowledge of the regulatory framework and associated legislation
18. Current knowledge of industry and technology development within appropriate areas and how this impacts engineering design and execution
19. Able to conduct audit and incident investigations
20. Experience of working across different project phases and on projects with different contractual models
