What you will do:
- Conduct comprehensive mental health and risk assessments for children and adolescents, ensuring a high quality of care from the start.
- Develop, implement, and regularly review individualised care plans in collaboration with service users and families, tailoring interventions to each young person's needs.
- Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions such as CBT-informed support and psychoeducation, helping set the foundation for recovery and well-being.
- Safely administer and monitor medications, ensuring adherence to all policies and procedures.
- Respond to acute mental health crises, contributing to safety planning and de-escalation strategies to help young people through challenging times.
- Identify safeguarding concerns and effectively manage clinical risks by following local child protection protocols.
- Work closely with a multi-disciplinary team of professionals, participating in meetings and care reviews to ensure comprehensive care delivery.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical records, preparing reports and contributing significantly to relevant meetings and consultations.
- Involve families and carers in the care process, providing essential information, guidance, and support to foster a comprehensive support system.
- Engage in professional development through supervision, mandatory training, and continuous learning opportunities, ensuring you keep growing within your role.
