Geography Teacher
Location: East Riding of Yorkshire
Salary: £31,650 - £49,084 per annum (MPS/UPS)
Contract Type: Full Time – Permanent
Start Date: September 2026
Vision for Education are working in partnership with a successful and well-regarded secondary school in the East Riding to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic Geography Teacher to join their team from September 2026.
This is a permanent opportunity for a motivated teacher who is passionate about delivering engaging Geography lessons and inspiring students across Key Stages 3 and 4. Applications are welcomed from both experienced teachers and ECTs.
The successful candidate will initially work through Vision for Education on a supply basis before transitioning onto a permanent contract directly with the school.
The Role
The school is seeking a committed Geography Teacher who can:
1. Deliver high-quality Geography lessons across KS3 and KS4
2. Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons
3. Create a positive and inclusive learning environment
4. Assess, monitor and support student progress
5. Contribute to the wider life of the department and school community
6. Maintain high expectations for behaviour and achievement
Requirements
To be considered for the position of Geography Teacher, you will:
7. Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
8. Have experience teaching Geography within a secondary setting
9. Be confident teaching Geography to KS3 and KS4 students
10. Possess strong classroom management skills
11. Demonstrate excellent communication and organisational abilities
12. Be passionate about improving outcomes for young people
