Job Summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 3 Frailty Support Worker on Dewi Ward in Glangwili General Hospital. The role aims to improve the patient experience by promoting independence, focusing on mobility, nutrition and hydration.
Responsibilities
* Provide care to frail patients, supporting mobility, nutrition, hydration and functional ability.
* Communicate effectively with patients, families and multidisciplinary team.
* Work alongside nursing and therapies teams, both independently and as part of a team.
* Attend additional training and professional development as required.
Qualifications and Knowledge
* NVQ level 3 in Health or equivalent.
* Numeracy and literacy at GCSE level or equivalent.
* Recent clinical experience in a healthcare or social care environment.
* Good communication skills and ability to work alone or with a team.
Desirable
* Welsh speaker (Level 1) or ability to communicate in Welsh.
* Experience with fundamentals of care and rehabilitation principles.
Employment Details
* Band: 3
* Salary: £25,313 to £26,999 per annum (pro‑rated if part‑time)
* Contract: Permanent
* Working pattern: Full‑time or Part‑time, 7 days a week, no night duty.
