We are looking for dynamic, enthusiastic and committed Social Workers to work with our children and their families in our Complex Care Needs Team.

The Complex Care Needs Team is a team of social workers and children and family workers who work to support children, young people and their families who have special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). One aspect of the role is to assess and support their care needs in collaboration with partner agencies. The team complete safeguarding assessments of need under the assessment framework. Working under the remit of Child in Need and Child Protection plans as well as children in care.

Who are we looking for?

Here we’re looking for only the best social workers – those with the skills, motivation, and passion to help us move forwards. But you also need to be:

* A newly qualified social worker with a range of experience and expertise; able to carry out the role and responsibilities of a key worker, for a caseload which will include complex and statutory work.
* Be responsible for analysing information to support the ongoing needs of children, young people with complex needs, and their families and carers.
* An individual who can develop and maintain highly effective relationships with children and young people with complex needs, families, colleagues and other partner professionals to ensure integrated, holistic, and informed care management and safeguarding.
* An apt communicator, including listening, building empathy, consultation, and negotiation, in order to ensure the best outcomes for our young people.
* Able to provide written and verbal reports which are concise, informative and based on analysis of complex evidence which can be used within the legal context.
* Have an understanding of or interest in working in the field of SEND. Be committed to ongoing development in this area to support their understanding of the experience of families with children with complex needs.
* A worker who understands statutory requirements and is able to utilise performance data to ensure that interventions are timely and measurable.
