Join to apply for the Community Midwife role at NHS Highland
NHS Scotland is committed to encouraging equality and diversity among our workforce and eliminating unlawful discrimination. The aim is for our workforce to be truly representative and for each employee to feel respected and able to give their best. To this end, NHS Scotland welcomes applications from all sections of society.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced, enthusiastic and motivated NMC Registered Midwife to join the Badenoch & Strathspey Community Midwives. We are a small community team based in the village of Aviemore within the Cairngorm National Park, covering the Badenoch & Strathspey area including the towns of Kingussie and Grantown on Spey. The team provides caseload care for approximately 115 women per year. The post includes running satellite clinics and providing care within the home setting. There may be occasions when the post holder may work within the other teams in Inner Moray Firth. The successful candidate must be flexible in their approach, be a good team player and have excellent time management skills. Community experience is desirable but not essential and is suitable for Band 6 to apply. There is an on call commitment required for the provision of a Home Birth/Domino service within the Inner Moray Firth community midwifery teams. A Full / current driving licence and use of own car is essential for this post.
Aviemore is one of the main outdoor destinations in Scotland and provides a great lifestyle for those who love nature and adventure, we have access to mountains, rivers, ancient forests and skiing right on our door step. The area is a great base for families with schools and sporting facilities throughout the valley.
