Production Planner£30,000-£35,000 DOEYolk Recruitment are supporting a global manufacturing company Exeter in the search for an experienced Production Planner. This is a key planning role responsible for coordinating production schedules, balancing customer demand, and ensuring materials, capacity, and output are aligned to meet delivery requirements. The role would suit someone with strong manufacturing planning experience who is confident working with data, systems, and cross-functional teams in a fast-paced production environment.You'll play a central role in translating customer demand into achievable production plans while supporting efficiency, accuracy, and smooth day-to-day operations across the site.Key responsibilities:Calculate production loads using planning systems ensuring cost and specification targets are metDevelop production forecasts to support capacity planning, including weekend and resource requirementsIssue daily production schedules and instructions to operational and technical teamsMaintain accurate planning records, batch tracking, and production data logsUpdate inventory records following material usage and production consumptionProduce month-end reports covering capacity utilisation, output, and material usageCoordinate with materials and procurement teams to manage supply and demand requirementsLiaise with production managers and supervisors to ensure resources are aligned to scheduleWork closely with commercial teams to align production planning with order requirementsLead or support production planning meetings and daily performance discussionsMonitor production progress and resolve scheduling issues as they ariseRaise production documentation and job tickets for each batch or runAnalyse order books, back orders, and incoming demand to prioritise schedulesProvide cover support for stores and dispatch processes when requiredThis is what you'll need:Previous experience in a Production Planner or manufacturing planning roleStrong numerical and analytical skills with high attention to detailComfortable working with data and production scheduling systemsAnd this is what you'll get:Competitive salaryAnnual bonusHealthcare cash planTPBN1_UKTJ
