GSL Education are hiring a knowledgeable and motivated Computer Science Teacher to work with schools across Barnsley, covering the S70 and S71 areas, delivering engaging and relevant lessons.
As a Computer Science (CS) Teacher, you will support learners in developing computational thinking, problem-solving skills, and a strong understanding of digital systems, while maintaining a structured and supportive classroom environment.
Prime Responsibilities of Computer Science Teacher:
* Deliver clear and engaging lessons covering key computer science concepts.
* Support pupils in developing coding, logical thinking, and digital literacy skills.
* Provide constructive feedback to help learners improve and progress.
* Maintain positive behaviour management and a focused learning atmosphere.
* Monitor pupil progress and keep accurate assessment records.
Requirements of Computer Science Teacher:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a recognised teaching qualification.
* Strong subject knowledge and confidence delivering computer science lessons.
* Effective communication and classroom management skills.
* A commitment to inclusive education and safeguarding responsibilities.
* An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
