A Commercial Infrastructure Solicitor is required to join a major organisation based in the South East on a permanent basis. The Commercial Infrastructure Solicitor will be joining an established in-house legal function and taking on a range of work of national significance.
The successful Commercial Infrastructure Solicitor will benefit from flexible working but will be required to attend the office in the South East at least once a week.
This role is ideal for an individual with proven experience managing and negotiating Private Finance Initiative (PFI) contracts, including performance monitoring, commercial risk assessment, and stakeholder liaison across public and private sector interfaces.
The right candidate will have a strong understanding of PFI contract lifecycle management, focusing on contract handback, asset condition assessment, and compliance with financial and legal obligations.
Experience in construction law and/or Public Procurement would be beneficial but is not essential.
Responsibilities include:
* Collaborating with the in-house legal team and business units on engineering and construction matters related to large infrastructure projects
* Managing and overseeing the lifecycle of PFI contracts
* Drafting, negotiating, and finalizing complex commercial contracts
* Providing guidance on public procurement regulations and legal policies
* Engaging in early legal matters, both contentious and non-contentious
