We have an exciting role on offer within our Legal and Governance service as a Councillor Gateway Support Officer. About Us We are looking for an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual with excellent interpersonal and IT skills to join our team, to help us provide effective administrative support to the Council’s Councillor Gateway Enquiry System. This pivotal role will support the efficient operation of the online platform, which allows Elected Members to communicate with the Council, ask questions, and report issues, enabling them to assist their constituents promptly and provide high-quality responses. As a Councillor Gateway Support Officer, you will have a busy and varied role overseeing the Councillor Gateway by: Conducting daily checks to ensure enquiries are processed timely and appropriate responses are provided. Regularly liaising with service areas to address any issues with individual enquiries or the system. Organising, attending, and leading meetings as appropriate. Providing in-person guidance, support, and training to Councillors and Officers. You will have: Strong administrative skills with attention to detail. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage and prioritise multiple tasks efficiently. Experience in providing training and support. Whilst some familiarity maintaining the IT platforms/systems would be desirable, training on the Councillor Gateway will be provided. If this is you, this may be the opportunity you are looking for!
