Overview
NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK, employing around 40,000 staff across a wide range of clinical and non‑clinical professions. The post offers a 10 session inpatient/outpatient role across Inverclyde Royal Hospital and Crown House, Greenock, with a shift pattern of 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday plus an on‑call rota.
Responsibilities
* Provide inpatient and outpatient psychiatric care under the supervision of consultant psychiatrists.
* Support career progression of trainees and contribute to the departmental teaching programme.
* Manage own caseload and participate in local division meetings and interdisciplinary collaboration.
* Engage in Core Supporting Professional Activity, including CPD, audit, clinical governance, appraisal, re‑validation and management meetings.
* Carry out additional outpatient and procedural sessions or management activity as required.
Qualifications
* Full GMC registration with a licence to practise.
* Eligibility for inclusion in the GMC Specialist Register; UK‑trained doctors should have evidence of higher specialist training leading to CCT or be within six months of confirmed entry from interview date.
* CESR route doctors only eligible after CESR is awarded.
* Non‑UK doctors must demonstrate equivalent training.
