Role: Female Support Worker - Part Time Location: Shurdington, Cheltenham Hours: Bank - Weekends (Saturday & Sunday) Pay: £12.56 per hour Driving Requirements : Due to the nature of this role, a UK Full Clean driving license with access to a vehicle with business insurance (or willingness to obtain) is essential. Your Role: You will support two individuals living in a shared bungalow, a male in his mid-20s and a female in her late 40s. Both are wheelchair users with cerebral palsy and learning disabilities. Support includes personal care, moving and handling, and showering. The male also has Dandy-Walker syndrome and finds comfort when sung to during moments of stress. The woman enjoys being pampered and supported with daily routines. Your role is to help them live comfortably, safely, and with dignity. Key responsibilities include: Assist with daily living activities, which may include personal care, meal preparation, financial support and medication management. Ensure the safety and well-being of the individual by following care plans and risk assessments. Promote independence and encourage the individual to make choices about their care and lifestyle Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with the support team and family members. To provide emotional and practical support. Requirements: Female support worker (required for personal care needs) Must hold a full UK driving licence Experience supporting individuals with learning disabilities and/or physical disabilities is desirable Comfortable with providing personal care and using moving and handling techniques Patient, calm, and able to offer emotional reassurance Reliable, compassionate, and able to work as part of a small team Why Join Us?
