About your role
British Gas Business seeks a dedicated Data Fluency Manager to promote data fluency, encourage data-driven decision-making, and position data as a strategic asset across our units. You will work closely with business units to embed data practices and foster a data-centric culture. If you are passionate about data excellence and enabling teams to harness data’s power, we want you on our team.
Key responsibilities include:
* Data Fluency Programs: Lead initiatives to empower colleagues in interpreting data safely and effectively.
* Cultural Change: Promote a data-driven culture across decision-making processes.
* Best Practices: Share and demonstrate how data supports decision-making and adds value.
* Data Storytelling: Guide on presenting complex data clearly and impactfully.
* Stakeholder Engagement: Understand data needs and promote best practices.
* Training and Workshops: Organize sessions to enhance data skills.
* Communication: Advocate data value through various channels.
* Measurement and Feedback: Establish metrics to evaluate initiatives and gather feedback for improvement.
Candidate requirements
* Proven experience in driving data culture change and stakeholder engagement.
* Deep knowledge of data management principles and best practices.
* Experience in facilitating data fluency training programs.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills.
* Proficiency with data visualization tools and analytics platforms.
* Strong understanding of data fluency, management, and analytics.
* Knowledge of how data products create value.
