About The Role
As a Port Maintenance Coordinator at Stena Line, you'll play a vital part in ensuring the mechanical systems at Holyhead Port are maintained, improved, and replaced as needed to support safe and efficient operations. As it helps ensure these systems meet reliability and safety standards, while remaining compliant with all applicable regulations and aligned with the port's operational needs.

Some Of Your Key Responsibilities
To ensure all mechanical systems on the port are complaint with the current standards as set out in any applicable regulations.
To provide a focal point for all mechanical requirements on the site.
Conduct mechanical fault finding and diagnosis on port mechanical systems.
Ensuring all mechanical systems are in optimum condition at all times.
Planning all maintenance requirements for each mechanical system on the site.
Identification of the necessary resources to allow all maintenance to be completed as dictated by any regulations or site set timescales.
Maintaining spares as required for critical items on site.
Maintaining documentation and drawings as required to support site mechanical maintenance.
Identification of improvements to the system and preparing options for the implementation of those improvements.
Supervise sub-contractors while on-site ensuring that all works are carried out to the required standard and approved drawings / specifications.
Any other tasks as agreed with the Technical Services Manager / Site Supervisor.
Essential
Job Requirements
NVQ Level 3 or similar qualification in Mechanical engineering and / or suitable experience working with mechanical systems, preferably in a marine environment.
Knowledge of working on mechanical systems with a port environment, including diagnostic and troubleshooting of faults.
Can demonstrate suitable skills, knowledge, attributes, training, and experience to be able to fulfil the role.
Knowledge of Health and Safety legislation and standards, able to apply these to the tasks being undertaken.
Continuous improvement mindset and application of learning for experience.
Strong communication skills, attention to detail and ability to work well under pressure.
Desirable
Health and Safety training, CSCS or similar for working on construction site
Experience with planned maintenance systems for routine and preventative maintenance.
Experience in interpreting construction and installation drawings.
