About this Role
Are you a proactive and reliable individual with a passion for maintaining safe, secure, and well-functioning environments? We are seeking a dedicated Premises Officer to join our Academy Trust team and play a vital role in the day-to-day upkeep and safety of our school site.
Key Responsibilities:
* Ensure the security of the premises, including key holder duties and emergency call-outs.
* Operate and monitor building systems such as heating, lighting, cooling, CCTV, and alarms.
* Carry out minor repairs, general maintenance, and porterage duties.
* Maintain health and safety compliance, including legionella and asbestos testing.
* Support cleaning operations and monitor standards across the site.
* Manage deliveries, waste collection, and consumable supplies.
* Liaise with contractors and oversee site works as directed.
* Assist with setting up rooms for exams and events.
* Work across other Trust sites when required.
What We're Looking For:
* Experience in premises or facilities management (school setting desirable).
* Basic maintenance and DIY skills.
* Good understanding of health and safety regulations.
* Ability to work independently and respond to emergencies.
* Basic IT skills (Microsoft Office and email).
* Flexible and willing to work occasional evenings/weekends.
