At Inspire EHC, we are looking for a Lead Teacher for a Specialist Resource Base (SRB) within a welcoming primary academy in King’s Lynn. This is a fantastic opportunity to step into a leadership-focused teaching role, supporting pupils with Autism Spectrum Condition in a well-supported, inclusive setting.
The Role
* Job Title: Lead SRB Teacher (ASC Specialist)
* Location: King’s Lynn, Norfolk
* Start Date: ASAP (from 7th May 2026)
* Duration: Until 22nd May 2026 (with potential for September opportunities)
* Schedule: Monday to Friday, 6.5 hours per day
* Type: Long-term supply contract
* Setting: Primary Academy Specialist Resource Base (SRB)
This role offers a brilliant foot in the door opportunity, as the school is also recruiting permanently for September, meaning there is potential for longer-term progression.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Leading teaching and learning within the SRB provision
* Supporting pupils with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) to access a tailored curriculum
* Creating a structured, nurturing and engaging learning environment
* Working closely with support staff, SENCOs and senior leadership
* Providing consistency during a period of staff absence
* Modelling best practice in SEND teaching and inclusive education
What We’re Looking For
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS or equivalent)
* Proven experience working with ASC / Autism
* Experience in SEN, SRB, or specialist settings
* Confidence stepping into a lead or senior role
* A calm, patient and adaptable approach
* Strong communication and collaboration skills
Leadership experience is highly desirable, but equally important is your ability to build relationships and create a positive, supportive space for learners.
