A vacancy has arisen for an Experienced Supervising Social Worker to join the Fostering Team with a Good Ofsted local authority in the South.
In the role of Supervising Social Worker you will ensure that the fostering team delivers a high quality service to Foster Carers. You will provide support, supervision and training for foster carers to provide a safe and secure environment for the children and young people of the area.
What you'll do:
* Provide high-quality supervision and support to foster carers
* Undertake regular visits and assessments to ensure safe, stable placements
* Contribute to foster carer recruitment, training, and retention
* Work collaboratively with children's social workers, schools, and health professionals
* Keep comprehensive and timely records in line with statutory requirements
Requirements:
* Qualified Social Worker (DipSW, CQSW, or equivalent) and registered with Social Work England
* Experience in fostering, children's social care, or related services
* Strong communication, assessment, and report-writing skills
* A reflective practitioner who values teamwork and continuous improvement
* Flexibility to travel for visits and to work occasional evenings/weekends as needed
Benefits:
* £40,476 - £44,710 per annum and excellent pension scheme
* 25 days annual leave (pro rata), plus bank holidays.
