Primary Teaching Assistant – EYFS / KS1

We are looking to support a warm, community-focused school in Gloucestershire who are seeking a caring and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to support pupils in Reception and Key Stage 1.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with younger children and understands the importance of early learning experiences. You’ll be supporting classroom learning, providing encouragement and reassurance, and offering 1:1 support where required to help pupils feel secure, confident, and ready to learn.

The ideal candidate will:
• Have experience working with children in an early years or primary setting
• Be nurturing, patient, and encouraging in their approach
• Feel confident supporting learning through play and structured activities
• Be happy to work 1:1 as well as within small groups or the wider class
• Work collaboratively with teachers and support staff
• Show a genuine commitment to children’s wellbeing and development
Role Requirements:
• Experience supporting EYFS or KS1 pupils is desirable
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
• Right to work in the UK
• Ability to start as soon as possible
