Note: This role involves delivering shopping to customers and providing great service as part of Tesco's Customer Delivery team.

* Mon: 17:00 - 21:00
* Thu: 08:00 - 12:00
* Fri: 08:00 - 18:00
Pay: Our Customer Delivery Driver rate of pay starts from £13.35 per hour; this increases to £14.56 for stores inside the M25. Additional payments may also apply depending on location.
Our policy offers new colleagues a minimum of 16 guaranteed hours each week; if you’d prefer to work fewer hours (to a minimum of 12), we have opportunities and would still love to hear from you.
The availability windows indicate the periods during which we would like you to be available. We will schedule your contracted hours within these times and provide 3 weeks' notice of your shifts. We are committed to flexibility and welcome applicants whose available times closely match but do not exactly align with the advertised times.

As the face of Tesco on the road, you will meet and talk to customers in their homes. This role is about much more than driving: it’s about helping others and delivering great service with a smile.
This role is hands-on, physical, and varied. No two shifts are the same, and while you’ll feel like your own boss delivering to customers, a team of Managers and colleagues back at base are there to support you when needed.

You will be responsible for
* Delivering your part of the customer shopping trip by ensuring the van and trays are clean and tidy/organised.
* Leaving the back yard clean and free of rubbish, and picking up litter as you see it.
* Ensuring trays are washed as part of the tray wash process.
* Loading the van as required, and checking the van for roadworthiness.
* Talking to the customer about any changes to their order, including short code items and substitutions, offering a refund for anything they are unhappy with.
* Taking care of products/deliveries as if they were your own.
* Explaining to the customer that they will not be charged any more for substitutions.
* Delivering during the customer’s time slot.
* Calling the customer before arriving at their property if early.
* Calling the store/centre if running 30 minutes or more late.
You will need
* Build relationships with colleagues to create team spirit, ensuring the store is the best it can be for customers.
* Warm and welcoming interactions with customers and colleagues, taking time to understand the customer and say thank you.
* Act quickly to respond to changing customer needs and embrace change within the store.
* Energetic and driven to deliver beyond expectations, balancing home and work.
* Share ideas with your Manager and colleagues on how to improve the store for customers.
* A valid UK/EU/EEA Driving licence (Full or Automatic only) for at least 12 months with no more than 3 penalty points.
