Join our supportive Barnsley Community Learning Disability Team as a Therapy Assistant. In this role, you will work alongside dedicated therapists, supporting clinical practice and delivering therapeutic interventions to provide excellent care. A therapy assistant working with individuals with learning disabilities supports the therapeutic process across physiotherapy, speech and language therapy, and occupational therapy. Responsibilities include implementing therapy support plans, co-facilitating treatment sessions, and handling administrative tasks.

Key duties include:

1. Working closely with physiotherapists, speech and language therapists, and occupational therapists to implement therapy plans.
2. Collaborating on goal setting and treatment strategies for a holistic approach.
3. Observing and monitoring individuals' responses to therapy activities.
4. Providing feedback to therapists on progress, challenges, and achievements.
5. Maintaining accurate records of therapy sessions and progress notes.
6. Ensuring confidentiality and compliance with clinical governance.
7. Participating in professional development activities.
