Water Sampling Technician
RPS Water Operations requires additional Water Sampling Technician to join our waste-water network team based out of Belfast on a 6 month fixed term contract. Our team of Water Samplers are at the heart of our strategic priorities – to deliver great work for our clients by providing excellent customer service and executing complex operational tasks. What you'll be doing
You will use your developing expertise (working on your own or as part of a team) to resolve basic operational issues that will include:
* Collection of chemical and bacteriological water samples from service reservoirs, water treatment works and consumer taps.
* Collection of water samples from wastewater treatment sites if required
* On-site chlorine testing of water samples
* Temperature measurement of waste samples and all samples in transport
* Return of water samples to the NI Water labs within agreed timescales daily
* Delivery of samples between NI Water locations as and when required
* Completion paperwork for quality assurance requirements
* Continuously improve your development and knowledge while delivering great customer service for our clients
Who we're looking for?
* Commitment to working safely with good health and safety awareness
* The desire to develop within a team-orientated environment
* Basic written, numerical and IT skills
* Be flexible and customer focused
* Full UK driving licence
* Excellent time-keeping due to the deadlines required
* Preferably but not essential previous sampling experience
* Full UK driving licence
