Salary: £88.94 – £100 per day (depending on experience)

GSL Education are currently recruiting a committed and compassionate 1:1 SEN Support Assistant to work closely with students who require tailored support within a nurturing and structured school environment. This role is ideal for someone who is dedicated to improving academic and personal development for children with diverse needs.
Responsibilities as 1:1 SEN Support Assistant:
* Provide 1:1 support to a designated pupil with MLD or PMLD, ensuring their learning, safety, and wellbeing are prioritised.
* Assist with classroom activities, sensory integration, and structured learning tasks.
* Support with personal care, feeding, and mobility as required.
* Implement strategies from Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and collaborate with the wider SEN team.
* Promote an inclusive, respectful, and calm environment that supports positive engagement.
Requirements for 1:1 SEN Support Assistant:
* Have experience supporting children with SEN, particularly MLD or PMLD.
* Be comfortable with personal care tasks and the use of assistive technologies or communication aids.
* Display resilience, patience, and strong interpersonal skills.
* Hold a relevant qualification or have experience in SEN, care work, or learning support.
* Hold an enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
* Provide a full, up-to-date CV with explanations for any employment gaps over the last 10 years.
