We are a department that provide a consultant-led chronic and acute pain service. We have a small team consisting of specialist clinicians, nurses, physiotherapists and psychologists. Delivering evidence-based multi-disciplinary team approach to managing patients suffering from chronic pain conditions. The team offers advice on pain management strategies to support patients referred to the service. Our Services Include Medication reviews Intervention treatments - e.g. injections or nerve blocks, where appropriate A multidisciplinary led pain management programme - digital/online and face to face options Physiotherapy assessments and support Psychological support with mood to enhance well being Self-management advice and guidance. This is a 2.5 PA per week post for a General Practitioner with an extended role in chronic pain management at the Royal Surrey NHS Foundation Trust. (Session scheduling to be discussed and agreed on an individual basis). We are looking for the post holder to take a clinical lead, using expert knowledge and skills, in the assessment and management of patients with complex pain conditions.
