GSL Education are currently recruiting for a full-time PE & Dance Teacher for a welcoming and inclusive secondary school in Fareham. This is a fantastic role for both Early Careers Teachers (ECTs) and experienced educators, with a competitive annual salary based on experience, starting from September 2025. The successful candidate will play a key role in promoting physical wellbeing, self-expression, and teamwork through a dynamic and engaging curriculum. A school tour is offered ahead of formal interviews, which will take place over the coming weeks.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver engaging and inclusive PE and dance lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
* Plan and implement schemes of work that encourage students’ physical development, creativity, and confidence.
* Promote teamwork, sportsmanship, and a healthy lifestyle.
* Organise and support extracurricular activities, including after-school clubs and school performances or sports events.
* Monitor student progress, provide feedback, and support individual learning needs.
* Foster a positive, safe, and respectful classroom and gym environment.
Job Requirements:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
* Specialism or strong experience in both PE and Dance.
* Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.
* A proactive and inclusive approach to supporting diverse learners.
* Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
* Willingness to contribute to the wider school community.
* Enhanced Child Workforce DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply via GSL).
