Overview
Core subject (Maths, English, or Science) SEN / SEND Tutors for Young People with SEND, SEMH, and other Additional Educational Needs required in Buckinghamshire. Multiple positions are available and hiring is ongoing to meet the wide variety of needs we support. We are on a mission to transform the quality of education provided to young people with SEN / SEND, as well as other needs such as SEMH needs. We are increasingly supporting children and young people with moderate and severe learning difficulties. This role is ideal for qualified SEN / SEND tutors who are eager to work via 1:1 tutoring with children and young people with a variety of learning needs, in a creative, flexible, holistic, and trauma-informed manner, to raise their engagement and improve their educational journey.
At Targeted Provision our mission is to raise the standard of educational support offered to vulnerable young people in the UK. Our team supports the child and you will be supported throughout every placement by our SEN / SEND Support Specialists.
Responsibilities
* Provide Maths, English, or Science tuition to young people with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, or other Additional Educational Needs referred to Targeted Provision
* Plan each tutoring/mentoring session to meet individual needs
* Deliver holistic and engaging sessions that advance educational and social-emotional development
* Complete lesson reports and provide feedback on progress
Requirements
* Professional Teaching Qualifications (Qualified Teacher Status / QTS / QTLS)
* Minimum 2 years teaching experience
* Experience with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, and / or other Additional Educational Needs
* Knowledge of safeguarding processes
* Enhanced DBS (we can help obtain at cost if needed)
* Two professional references
* You must be based in the UK with the right to work in the UK, even for remote / online assignments
* Ability to promote the health, safety and wellbeing of children and young people and follow safeguarding policies and procedures
Employment Status
* Engagements as a Worker for short-term work, contracted for service and paid via PAYE
* We do not offer a set amount of work or expenses coverage
* Our insurance covers the work you do for us
* This is not a self-employed tutoring / self-employed teaching position
