Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Warehouse Worker to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse by performing various tasks related to the handling of goods. This position requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
* Load and unload goods from lorries and containers
* Pick and pack orders accurately for shipping
* Stock shelves and maintain inventory levels using a warehouse management system
* Assist with shipping and receiving processes, ensuring all documentation is completed correctly
* Handle materials safely and efficiently, adhering to health and safety regulations
* Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment as required (training may be provided)
* Conduct regular inspections of equipment and report any mechanical issues
* Maintain a clean and organised workspace
Skills
* Previous warehouse experience is preferred, with familiarity in materials handling
* Proficient in using warehouse management systems, including Linnworks
* Strong mechanical knowledge to assist with equipment maintenance
* Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by the role
* Experience in construction or similar fields is advantageous
* Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in stocking and inventory management
* Capability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
* Experience in Forklifts such as aisle master and caterpillar forklift (Desirable)
* Ability to take responsibility in stock cout
