In this position, you will be caring for elderly residents, some of whom have Alzheimer’s, so experience within this environment would be desirable. You will be assisting with all personal hygiene of the residents, such as toileting, bathing, and dressing. You may be asked to assist with some domestic duties, but this will be outlined by the home manager.
Other duties may include:
* Promoting residents’ independence
* Supporting a full range of nightly routines
* Developing individuals’ life skills and personal interests
* Assisting with healthy lifestyle choices
* Helping with personal care needs
* Manual handling
* Supporting medication
* Ensuring record keeping is always maintained to the required standard and contributing to service monitoring requirements

To be considered for this rewarding role, you must have:
* Proven experience within a similar care environment
* A checkable work history
* Up-to-date mandatory training documents, including Safeguarding Vulnerable Adults, Moving and Handling, and Infection Control. If you do not have up-to-date certificates, we can offer online training with an added fee.
* An in-date enhanced DBS check. If your DBS has expired, we can offer the facility to arrange a new one for you.

This is an ongoing opportunity, working Monday to Friday, with all shifts starting at 20:00 and finishing at 08:00. The position pays £12.75 per hour, plus up to 28 accrued holiday pay.
