BJF Group is a leading multidiscipline Main Contractor based across the UK, specialising in delivering high quality construction projects across various sectors priding ourselves of our reputation for excellence and attention to detail.
Within our Facilities Management division, the Southwest Core team plays a crucial role in the day-to-day delivery of reactive and preventative works across a diverse range of properties and systems within our client's sites - as a Site Service Manager. The Site Service Manager is responsible for the management of day-to-day operational site activities ensuring that BJF Group's site procedures and processes are in place and operating effectively. The role ensures that all works and activities undertaken by both the Delivery team and Supply Chain are provided to the required standard and in accordance with BJF Group and the client's policy and procedures. The Site Service Manager is also expected to provide leadership, motivation, mentoring and line management responsibilities for the site-based teams.
Responsibilities
* Operational: PPMs, Reactive Works, Small Works
* Financial and Commercial Management: indirect budgetary responsibility
* Contribute technical/specialist advice to client
* Adhere to the agreed Escalation Process to maintain Contract Governance
* Plan and execute efficient delivery of all Planned Maintenance tasks to ensure statutory and mandatory compliance
* Ensure the site is statutory compliant, provide assurance to BJF Group and identify compliance failures with mitigating action and escalate where appropriate
* Consult with client to ensure priorities are appropriate
* Provide cost information to Line Management to progress chargeable works
* Ensure delivery of works, interfacing with Site Management and customer to confirm requirements where necessary
* Support Contract Manager with organising team members workloads for efficient use of time
* Make regular checks on all tools and equipment used by team members; record information and take action as needed
Requirements for the Site Service Manager
* Hold an industry-recognised qualification such as City & Guilds / NVQ or similar in an appropriate engineering subject
* Hold an industry-recognised H&S qualification (IOSH or similar)
* Managerial experience at supervisor level within technical and/or hard services
* Proven experience in recruitment and line management of a team
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills at all levels
* Numerate and computer literate
* Excellent motivational and influencing skills with high integrity
