Are you a highly collaborative Modelling and Simulation Engineer ready to grow and develop the modelling capabilities for a leader in Uncrewed Aircraft Systems (UAS) development? Join a rapidly growing specialist in aircraft operations and technology, contributing directly to aircraft performance analyses and flight dynamics modelling. You will work within the Air Vehicle Design team, focused on multi‑disciplinary modelling and simulation activities.
Responsibilities
* Build models, simulate, and analyse aircraft performance and flight dynamics.
* Implement flight simulation and visualisation test environments.
* Contribute to the design of control algorithms and support the team effort to establish a library of reusable models/tools.
* Write comprehensive technical documentation (specifications, test plans) and gather modelling data through bench/flight testing activities.
Qualifications
* Proficient in the use of Matlab/Simulink or a comparable modelling tool.
* Demonstrable knowledge of UAV flight dynamics physics and flight control systems.
* Must be a British Citizen, able to work onsite routinely (minimum 3 days per week), and capable of holding Security Clearance (5 years residence in the UK).
* Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem‑solving skills. Desirable SRAM experiences in aerodynamics (CFD), model validation, or civil/military aerospace standards.
Compensation & Benefits
