We are currently looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Apprentice to join our Ecobat team in Darley Dale who wants to develop a rewarding career in the mechanical engineering field. You will work towards a nationally recognised Level 3 Maintenance and Operations Engineering Technician course, combining on-the-job training with college-based learning.

The Role
As a Maintenance Engineering Apprentice (Mechanical), you will work alongside experienced engineers to learn how to carry out fault diagnosis, emergency repairs and planned maintenance repairs.
Your responsibilities will include:
1. Assisting with the maintenance and repair of heavy plant equipment
2. Learning to use tools and equipment safely and effectively
3. Supporting planned maintenance and breakdown response
4. Working as part of a skilled engineering team to uphold health and safety standards
What We’re Looking For
5. A genuine interest in mechanical engineering
6. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
7. Good communication and teamwork abilities
8. Minimum of GCSE Grade 4/C in Maths, English and Science (or equivalent)
9. Commitment to learning and developing a long-term career in engineering
10. Must be aged 18 or over in line with the Control of Lead at Work regulations
