We are working in partnership with a welcoming and progressive secondary school in Northampton to recruit a committed Teacher of English from June or September 2026. This position is ideally permanent, although long-term supply options are available for candidates seeking greater flexibility.

About the Role:
Plan and deliver engaging English lessons across KS3 and KS4 (with KS5 opportunities in some settings)
Encourage a love of reading, writing, and critical thinking
Adapt teaching to meet the needs of students of varying abilities
Contribute to curriculum planning, assessment, and tracking pupil progress
Get involved in enrichment opportunities such as literacy initiatives and school events
Work collaboratively with colleagues within a supportive English department
We're Looking For:
Qualified teacher with QTS/QTLS (or equivalent) in English
Strong subject knowledge and a passion for English Language and Literature
An engaging and reflective practitioner who motivates students
High expectations for behaviour and academic success
Strong classroom management and communication skills
ECTs are encouraged to apply, with full support and mentoring available
