Are you an experienced Paediatric Physiotherapist who wants to develop their clinical and leadership skills?

We are a dynamic, friendly team looking for like-minded applicants to join us. You will be an autonomous practitioner within a well-established team of clinicians and will have chance to manage a mixed caseload of children and young people, including neurological, developmental, and musculoskeletal conditions, across both town and rural locations.

Travel will be required based on service need and as a community team, access to a car for work purposes and a UK driving licence will be essential.

Our service provides assessment and intervention for children and young people with physical difficulties, aged 0-19 years. We work in partnership with families and carers in a variety of settings including special and mainstream schools, patient's homes, and community clinics.

You will be expected to use and develop your skills using a variety of approaches and treatment modalities and to work closely with colleagues in other disciplines in order to provide a child-centred, holistic approach to care. You will also participate in the development of other staff and of the service.

The Paediatric Physiotherapy Service provides clinical placements for students from Keele University and the post holder will be supported to become a clinical educator.

You will undertake a physiotherapy role for assessment, diagnosis, and evidence-based treatment programmes for children in the most appropriate location in the community.

The position is expected to be based in and around our south East and South West Staffordshire locations, though the exact location will be determined by the successful applicant

Bases in the location include: Stafford, Cannock, Codsall, Burton, Lichfield, Tamworth, Rugeley

Be competent as appropriate to the requirements of the role.

Demonstrate at all times the Organisation Values of People, Empowerment and Partnership.

Be a Specialist Physiotherapist and have detailed professional and clinical knowledge.

Be responsible for a defined population of service users aged 0-19 years in a variety of settings, including the child's home, schools, and clinics across the Partnership Trust.

Be skilled in the assessment of complex/specialist care needs and in the development, implementation, and evaluation of care/support packages for children and families.

Have supervisory responsibilities where appropriate and participate in service development and improvement.

Demonstrate initiative and be creative in finding solutions to problems.

Work with the Team Leader undertaking delegated tasks in team management.
