Job Description Summary We have an exciting opportunity for a Proposals Cost & Pricing Analyst for Dowty Propellers. Reporting to the Commercial Operations Leader, as a key role within the commercial function, you will own the financial model and the assumptions used to underpin any long-term product support offering made to a customer. You will also own the Recurring Cost Estimating (RCE) for all of the Dowty sites working in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulations. You will work with a wide network of functions, sites & businesses to obtain, and understand inputs and assumptions, and will be responsible for modelling and providing commercial insight through all stages of the bid process, from identification, through to negotiation. Job Description Roles and Responsibilities - Focusing on business strategic captures while creating and maintaining models based on both commercial and technical inputs from multiple business functions. - Responsible for the recurring cost estimating (RCE) and will utilise their skills and experience to develop internal costings for Dowty hardware supporting Sales; New Product Introduction programs; Momentum and Spares requirements. - Contributing to the CMR process where required to understand existing contract performance and update forecasts to create annually refreshed views of contracts. - Outputting a robust business case and being able to articulate areas and levels of risk within the financials. - Liaising with multiple business functions, sites & customers to build accurate, efficient models which create value for the customer and identify risk to the business. - Providing commercial expertise around competitive landscape, market dynamics, value upselling, supplier dynamics & other cost and price drivers. - Achieving required approvals from the business for submission of proposals to customer and then working with the bid team through the negotiation stage of the proposal to arrive at a contract award. - Engaging with the bid team and the customer to understand first hand what the customer values and how the business can provide the most impact and protect its operations. - Participating in tollgate three handovers ensuring program teams understand the construct of the contracted service and the risks identified through the modelling process. - Driving continuous improvement through process and tool upgrades in particular management and improvement of the common model tool used for modelling deals. Required Qualifications - Proven experience in Cost Analysis and/or Financial Modeling. - This role requires advanced experience in the Sales & Technical Proposals. - Strong commercial acumen - Advanced MS Excel experience Desired Characteristics - Demonstrated ability to analyse and resolve problems. - Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs. - Established project management skills. - Demonstrated ability to communicate and work effectively with all levels of the organization - Ability to identify and lead simplification and process improvement within a matrix organisation - Detail oriented and accountable for completion of work assignments Flexible Working GE supports and encourages flexible working arrangements, where possible, and recognises the benefits to employees of having a positive work-life balance.
