Senior Town Planner – Hybrid Working – Cardiff
Salary: Up to £35,000 - £45,000 DOE
Employer: A small family‑feel consultancy in Cardiff working on a range of projects from residential and commercial to heritage and renewable energy. The role is open to candidates from both private and public sectors with ideally a minimum of 3 years of experience.
Responsibilities
* Manage your own case load and assist with larger, more complex projects.
* Collaborate with colleagues and clients in a collaborative manner.
* Lead and mentor more junior staff where appropriate.
* Represent the consultancy in negotiations and client meetings.
* Travel to site visits across the UK as required.
Requirements / Qualifications
* 3 years of experience in the public or private sector as a Town Planner.
* Working towards or willing to work towards RTPI chartership.
* Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel for site visits.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
* Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
* Experience in a planning consultancy or local authority is preferred.
