Overview
QA & Engineering Analyst — Remote, 1-year contract with the possibility of extension. Reports to: CTO. Level: Senior/Mid-level.
The role is to strengthen our delivery operations and ensure the quality of our technology solutions. You will be the guardian of product quality, supporting the engineering team while they build innovative solutions for clients and internal teams. This role is essential to maintaining our reputation for excellence and enabling our team to move fast without breaking things.
This role is about more than finding bugs. It’s about being a quality advocate, a process improver, and a bridge between technical complexity and business needs. You will work across our technology stack, from our proprietary Leap platform to client-facing solutions, ensuring everything we ship meets high standards.
You’ll enable the engineering team’s productivity by handling operational tasks that free senior developers to focus on complex problem-solving and innovation. Your work directly impacts our ability to deliver quality solutions at pace.
What you'll do
Quality Assurance & Testing
* Perform comprehensive manual QA across black box, regression, and cross-browser testing scenarios
* Conduct thorough UX and functional testing, providing detailed feedback that developers can act on immediately
* Test new features and updates before client deployment, ensuring reliability and performance
* Develop and maintain testing protocols that scale with our growing product suite
* Create detailed test cases and documentation for recurring testing scenarios
Support & Issue Resolution
* Investigate and triage technical issues, providing developers with clear, actionable bug reports rather than vague problem descriptions
* Act as first line of support for internal technical issues, resolving where possible and escalating effectively when needed
* Maintain our issue tracking system, ensuring all problems are properly documented and followed through to resolution
* Support urgent client issues by quickly identifying root causes and coordinating with the development team
Operations & Process Improvement
* Assist with IT operations and internal rollouts, including MDM (Mobile Device Management) and new tooling implementations
* Drive adoption of ISO 27001 compliance processes, ensuring all team members understand and follow security protocols
* Create and maintain comprehensive internal support documentation that enables self-service problem resolution
* Maintain testing environments and demo systems, ensuring they're always ready for client presentations and internal testing
Technical Enablement
* Prepare detailed issue tickets that can be efficiently handled by AI agents and automated systems (as we expand our AI-powered development workflows)
* Support the technology team's adoption of new tools and processes, providing training and documentation
* Gather and document technical requirements from non-technical stakeholders, translating business needs into clear technical specifications
About You
* You have experience in QA roles and understand the importance of systematic testing approaches
* You ideally have an ISTQB testing certification
* You have strong technical aptitude but can communicate complex issues in simple, clear terms
* You're detail-oriented and methodical, but also pragmatic about where to focus your efforts for maximum impact
* You understand web technologies, browsers, and common technical issues that affect user experience
* You're proactive in identifying process improvements and comfortable suggesting better ways of working
* You can work independently and prioritise effectively in a fast-paced environment
* You ideally have a background/experience in technical support
* You have experience working with Google Workspace and Macs
* You have experience with issue tracking systems and are comfortable with basic technical documentation
* You're comfortable with ambiguity and can adapt to changing priorities as business needs evolve
* You take ownership of problems and see them through to resolution, even when the solution involves multiple team members
