The Best Connection are currently recruiting for a Class 2 (Category C) HGV Driver for a well‑established transport operation based locally. This is a temp to perm position, offering the opportunity for a permanent role following a successful trial period.
The role involves curtain‑side work, operating Monday to Friday with early start times from around 3:00am onwards. There may be a requirement to work the odd weekend, depending on business needs but this is not a regular thing.
The Role:
* Class 2 curtain‑side deliveries
* Regional or nationwide runs depending on route
* Use of curtains and load restraint (manual handling involved)
* Start times from approximately 3am
* Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend work
* Temp to perm opportunity
Requirements:
* Valid Class 2 (Category C) licence
* Minimum 2 years' Class 2 driving experience
* Licence held for a minimum of 2 years
* Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
* Curtain‑side experience preferred
* Good understanding of drivers' hours and WTD
* Reliable, professional attitude with good customer‑facing skills
