PLANNING MANAGER - CONTRACT ROLE
UK WIDE - (Possibility for a requirement to travel to customer sites across the country)
Purpose of the role:
Create, control, maintain, evaluate and reschedule the Level 3 project plan in conjunction with all project stakeholders and provide status reports to relevant parties whilst recognising the highest standards of safety and quality and in accordance with the Trillium HSEQ management system and customer specific HSEQ requirements.
Objectives of the role:
* Create the Level 3 Project Plan ensuring that all activities within the scope of work are included and scheduled accordingly. Control and maintain the Plan.
* Evaluate and reschedule the Plan identifying potential problems and conflicts of work.
* Communicate issues to Site Manager, Planning Supervisor and Supervisors.
* Reassign labour to achieve baseline milestones and maintain project on track.
* Continuously compare baseline to current plan, modify assignments to reflect delays and new milestones.
* Record all emergent work and variations to contract.
* Monitor all leave requests / working time directive efficiently and communicate any conflict / priority demands with Site Manager, Planning Supervisor for resolution Continuously monitor resource requirements to maximise efficiency.
General Information:
* Normally required to work in the UK but overseas assignments maybe required.
* Prepare to work reasonable amounts of overtime, as required to suit the operation demands of the business.
* Medically fit to fulfil the role and be prepared to undergo drugs and alcohol testing, as required.
* Eligible for UK security vetting clearance.
* Willingness to embrace the high safety and quality culture required by the company.
* Good communication skills, self-motivated, flexible, ability to function as part of a team and have proficient IT skills.
* Excellent organisational, planning and communication skills.
Education Experience:
* Undergone Recognised Planning course
* Proficient in using Project Management Tools - (Microsoft Project, Primavera 5).
Work Environment:
Site based, will be required to travel to workshops and field locations throughout the UK. Occasional international travel will be expected.
