Children's Residential Support Worker

Location: Pilling
Salary: Up to £32,617 per annum
Hours: Full-time, permanent (37.5 hours per week) with a flexible shift pattern, including evenings, weekends, and an average of two sleep-ins per week (included in salary). Voluntary overtime is also available.

As a Children’s Residential Support Worker, you’ll be a crucial part of a passionate team, helping vulnerable young people through their challenges and creating positive change in their lives.

What You’ll Be Doing
As a Residential Support Worker, your role will include:

* Supporting daily routines: Supporting children with personal care, meal preparation, and daily activities to help them develop independence

* Educational support: Encouraging and supporting children in their learning journey, assisting with homework, and helping them develop new skills

* Leading recreational activities: Organising and leading recreational activities, including fun events and holidays, to increase engagement and enhance well-being.

* Emotional support: Providing guidance, care, and person-centred support to help children navigate difficult moments

* Documentation: Completing care plans, reports, and maintaining accurate records.

* Maintaining a safe environment: Ensuring the home is clean, secure, and well-organised

* Team collaboration: Working closely with colleagues to create a positive, nurturing environment

What We’re Looking For
We are seeking individuals who are:

* Resilient: Able to handle emotionally demanding situations and provide stability to children in need

* Team-Oriented: Comfortable working as part of a collaborative and supportive team

* Communicative: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with children, colleagues, and external partners

* Motivated: Committed to providing high-quality care and working toward the best outcomes for children and young people

* Flexible: Willing to work shifts that include evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins

Previous experience in residential care is preferred but not essential—we provide full training to support your success in the role.
