The Role

Reporting to the Operations Director, this position plays a key role in driving manufacturing efficiency and supporting the continuous improvement of production operations. You will act as a change agent within the manufacturing team, leading initiatives to improve processes, introduce new products, and enhance facility layout and performance.

Key Responsibilities

Support day-to-day production activities including troubleshooting and improvement plans

Lead Design for Manufacture (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) reviews

Analyse downtime and implement improvements to quality and efficiency

Evaluate production flow and identify bottlenecks

Support new product introductions (NPI)

Improve shop floor layouts and space utilisation

Collaborate cross-functionally on improvements

Maintain and standardise documentation and SOPs

Conduct risk assessments and ensure safety compliance

Support quality assurance and investigate failures

Assist with material flow and presentation

Key Skills & Experience

Experience in a volume manufacturing environment

Hands-on approach and ability to support teams on the shop floor

Experience in new product introduction

Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

Knowledge of lean manufacturing tools (5S, Six Sigma, Kaizen)

Understanding of manufacturing processes (machining, assembly, automation)

Experience with root cause analysis tools

Familiarity with quality standards (ISO 9001, etc.)

Understanding of material flow and scheduling

Knowledge of health & safety practices

Qualifications

Degree in a relevant engineering or technical discipline

Working Pattern

Monday to Friday shift rotation with early and late shifts. xsngvjr Includes 20% shift premium.
