Job Overview:We are looking for a proactive and experienced Mechanical Team Leader to join our Hard Services team at Sellafield. As the first point of contact for both the client and engineering team, you will play a key role in ensuring the safe, efficient, and high-quality delivery of mechanical maintenance services across the site.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Act as the primary liaison for client queries, providing timely feedback and escalation where needed.
2. Ensure all planned and reactive works are scheduled, delivered, and updated in Archibus in line with contract KPIs.
3. Prepare and implement Safe Systems of Work (SSOW) documentation inpliance with legislative and client requirements.
4. Supervise and support team operations through pre-job briefs, inspections, and quality assurance.
5. Monitor and manage work in progress (WIP), providing updates, resolving issues, and ensuring timelypletion.
6. Collaborate with the planning team to optimise resource allocation and task scheduling.
7. Conduct workforce audits, deliver team briefings, and promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
8. Coach and mentor team members, supporting their development and Sellafield nominations.
9. Maintain accurate records of incidents, near misses, and nonpliance, and contribute to risk mitigation strategies.
Experience & Qualifications:
10. Essential: NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Maintenance & Installation (or equivalent)
11. Previous experience in a supervisory or team leader role
12. Strong understanding of facilities services and nuclear site procedures
13. Excellentmunication and coordination skills
14. IOSH Managing Safely certification
15. Full clean UK driving licence

17. Experience working in a highly regulated environment
