As a Technical Sales Manager, you will play a key role in managing and developing customer relationships while leading new business opportunities from initial enquiry through to production. This is a commercially focused engineering role, requiring a strong understanding of manufacturing processes alongside the ability to position technical solutions in a way that delivers clear value to the customer. Key Responsibilities Lead new enquiries and RFQs from initial engagement through to quotation, negotiation, and order placement Translate customer requirements into clear technical and commercial proposals Work cross-functionally with engineering, production, quality, and procurement teams to ensure feasibility, cost accuracy, and successful delivery Support project coordination during NPI phases, including timelines, risks, and customer communication Manage and develop relationships with existing customers, maintaining regular and structured communication Take ownership of existing customer accounts, ensuring high levels of service, responsiveness, and overall satisfaction Proactively identify and drive opportunities to grow existing accounts beyond current projects, including new parts, platforms, or programmes Lead customer review meetings and forward planning discussions to align on demand, performance, and future opportunities Conduct customer visits, presentations, and technical discussions both on-site and remotely Contribute to pricing strategies, ensuring alignment with business objectives and market positioning Maintain accurate pipeline tracking and support forecasting activities Provide structured updates to both customers and internal stakeholders on project status and risks Identify and communicate continuous improvement opportunities across customer accounts and internal processes Minimum Requirements HNC/HND or Degree level in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Mechatronics Engineering or similar Minimum of 5 years experience in a manufacturing or project engineering position Proven experience in customer-facing activities, including project coordination, site visits, and client communication Strong familiarity with pricing activities, quotations, and RFQ processes, contributing to commercially informed decision-making Demonstrated ability to work effectively across engineering, production, and customer teams Excellent communication skills, with the capability to translate technical information into clear customer value Highly proactive and organised, capable of managing multiple enquiries, projects, and customer interactions concurrently Strong experience supporting customers through regular updates, issue resolution, and ensuring successful delivery outcomes Skills & Competencies Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convert technical detail into customer value Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects, enquiries, and customer interactions simultaneously Confident and proactive, with a positive approach to problem-solving and customer engagement Experience or interest in developing professional visual and written content (presentations, brochures, photography, video, or digital media) Skills: Excellent communication skills Strong organisational skills Confident and proactive professional visual /written content presentations Benefits: Flexitime Laptop Paid Holidays Parking Pension Fund Cycle to work Free Refreshments
