Flexible Secondary School Work Across Tameside

Teaching Personnel is recruiting experienced Cover Supervisors to support a range of secondary schools across Tameside, including Ashton-under-Lyne, Denton, Hyde, Droylsden and nearby areas.
This role is ideal for individuals with school-based experience who are confident supervising classes, managing behaviour, and maintaining a positive learning environment.
This role is to begin asap starting after April half term with opportunities for May and September starts too.
What Does a Cover Supervisor Do?
As a Cover Supervisor, you will:
* Deliver pre‑planned lessons set by the class teacher
* Manage the classroom and ensure students stay engaged and on task
* Support pupils with learning and behaviour where required
* Build positive working relationships with students and staff
* Gain valuable additional experience across a variety of subjects and year groups
Who We’re Looking For
This role suits individuals who:
* Have experience working in secondary schools or with young people aged 11–16
* Are confident in leading a classroom and managing behaviour
* Are professional, reliable and able to adapt to different school environments
* Can engage students and maintain a purposeful atmosphere
* Want flexible work that fits around other commitments or career plans
* Individuals willing to travel around Manchester via car or public transport

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
