We are seeking
Associate Lecturers to help us deliver excellent, on-campus teaching to support the School’s undergraduate and postgraduate programmes and work with students across our programmes, including our growing cohorts of international students. The subject area specifically sought at the moment is Economics.
Worcester Business School
The Business School has grown rapidly over recent years and now has c. 1,500 students across a range of Business and Computing courses at undergraduate and postgraduate level. We aspire to create an inspirational learning experience where academics are encouraged to maintain research, scholarship and knowledge exchange activity to underpin their teaching, and where students can contribute to a forward-looking academic community.
We are an interdisciplinary Business School, made up of three Departments:
1. Computing
2. Management & Finance
3. Marketing & Enterprise
Our overriding aim, in line with the objectives of the University of Worcester Strategic Plan, is to ensure that Worcester Business School continues to develop as an outstanding place at which to study Business, Management and Computing.
Worcester Business School offers is both professional and friendly – a place where students and staff feel welcome and inspired. Housed within beautifully restored Georgian buildings in Worcester city centre, the Business School reflects a real-world business environment with open-plan open learning spaces, interconnected with meeting rooms, staff offices and reception area.
NB. If you are successful at interview, you will be invited to join a pool of sessional lecturers and we will contact you if suitable work becomes available. We are not able to guarantee employment as it will be subject to student numbers. The number of hours available might only be a few hours per week.
About You
We need colleagues who can engage with students and deliver teaching to enable graduate work-readiness. You will need to hold a masters level qualification (or equivalent professional qualification) and contemporary knowledge in a related subject.
