Senior Engineer (Transport Strategy and Partnerships)
Location: Waverley Court, Edinburgh
Salary: £46,023 – £54,476
Hours: 36 per week, 52 weeks
Are you keen to shape the future of Scotland's capital city? The City of Edinburgh Council is looking for a highly motivated and experienced Senior Engineer to join our Transport Strategy and Partnerships team. This role offers the opportunity to be directly involved in shaping, leading and delivering enhancements to Edinburgh’s transport systems, streets and public places.
Responsibilities
* Support the delivery of major and strategic transport projects including the West Edinburgh Transport Improvements Programme and the City Centre Transformation plan.
* Prioritise the implementation of Public Transport, Active Travel, and Public Realm improvements.
* Engage in effective partnership working with a variety of public and private bodies.
* Manage and deliver high‑value and complex civil engineering projects in a challenging environment.
* Build key relationships with senior management and elected members, and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
Qualifications
* Degree level in a relevant discipline.
* Experience managing and delivering significantly high‑value and complex civil engineering projects.
* Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships at senior levels.
* Experience working with a range of stakeholders in partnership settings.
