Onsultant Psychiatrist – Eating Disorder Service A specialist Inpatient Eating Disorder service for women is seeking a Consultant Psychiatrist to join their multidisciplinary team. The service provides evidence-based, personalised treatment programmes within a supportive, clinically-focused environment. This role is suitable for a Consultant with experience in General Adult Psychiatry, ideally with prior exposure to acute inpatient or community settings, and experience in risk assessment and risk management. Key Responsibilities Act as Responsible Clinician for patients on the ward, managing a dedicated caseload Conduct assessments and manage referrals to the service Oversee physical health assessments and document findings within care records Complete professional reports, including care reviews, CPA, and tribunal reports Provide clinical leadership, supervision, reflection, and risk management for the multidisciplinary team Participate in ongoing Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Uphold principles of clinical governance and adhere to organisational policies Participate in an annual appraisal programme and develop personal development plans Take part in the on-call rota covering the regional network of services Requirements MBBS or equivalent medical qualification Full GMC registration with licence to practise MRCPsych (or equivalent) approved by the Royal College of Psychiatrists Section 12(2) approval and Approved Clinician status Ability to take full and independent responsibility for clinical care Experience working within multidisciplinary teams and managing complex cases What’s on Offer Competitive annual salary 30 days annual leave bank holidays birthday leave Group personal pension plan and employer contribution Life assurance and medical indemnity cover Enhanced maternity package Free meals while on duty Employee wellbeing support and activities CPD and career development opportunities Flexibility to work in clinically-led environments Access to a supportive peer network and professional community
